The facility also boasts a gorgeous chef’s kitchen, game room, small theatre and a gated swimming pool.
Lunch & Snack:
Children are served snacks of healthy grains and fruit daily. A Delicious nutritional hot lunch of a protein, grain and vegetables is served to all children daily. Every day children are offered jelly, butter or cheese sandwiches as an alternative.
Line Up & Jewish Theme Time:
Every day at Gan Izzy begins with a lively Line Up led by our energetic counselors! Following Line Up, each bunk explores a Jewish mitzvah through an interactive lesson and activity.
At Gan Izzy children can choose their fun! Each week campers can choose between two engaging workshop choices to participate in for the week. Each year our Funshops vary, past years’ options included: Woodworking, Theatre Camp, Mini Chefs, Magic School, Lego Ipad Animation, Canvas Painting, Dance, Fiber Arts.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are trip days. Campers travel to and from field trips around the Valley by yellow school bus provided by the School District. Campers are required to wear their camp t-shirt on trip days. Each camper will receive their camp t-shirt on the first day of camp.
Community Imprint Project:
Once a week our campers reflect on our responsibility to those around us and participate in an interactive mitzvah project to benefit those in need around us. It is never too young to begin taking action for what matters most – loving and caring for one another!
A professional sports instructor introduces our campers to a range of sports all while having fun and bolstering their sportsmanship. Campers should wear appropriate gym shoes on sports days.
Campers will have a swimming activity with our certified lifeguard 2-3 times a week. Campers that do not wish to swim will be offered an alternative fun activity.
Each camper’s artistic side shines at our weekly guided art session. Using authentic art materials, our campers are directed in an expressive art session as they try something new and exercise their creativity.
Challah Baking & Shabbat Bash:
Every Friday, Gan Izzy gets into the spirit of Shabbat at our signature Shabbat Bash as we sing songs, drink grape juice and play a Shabbat themed game. Campers will also mix, knead and shape their very own challahs every Friday!
